Every Sunday in the Dallas Morning News, Reporter Clare Miers brings interesting people, places and things to a weekly feature “Dallas Life.” This week, she heads to Plano to see Woodturner Kevin Bassett at work in his studio and it's filled with sculpture and art converted from trees. Bassett shows Miers how he creates beautiful objects on a lathe and speaks about his relationship to working with trees for most of his life.
